Richard Michael
Richard Michael is one of Scotlandīs most versatile
musicians, who has influenced a generation of teachers and students
with his innovative method of teaching improvisation through thirty
years, work with Fife youth Jazz Orchestra and a carreer as composer,
performer and workshop leader.
Richard studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Scotland.
As a composer, Richard has written for artists as diverse as Colin Curry, Georgie Fame, Tommy Smith and more.
He is author of several jazz publications, like Jazz Beginning, Creative Jazz Education and Small Band Jazz for the Classroom.
