 | ROB WARING (Norway)
Rob Waring (1956) is originally from New York and has been living in Oslo since 1981. He studied percussion with Saul Goodman and Elden "Buster" Bailey at the Juilliard School (1974-79), and jazz vibraphone with Dave Samuels (1975). Since moving to Oslo, Waring has been active as a performer, composer and teacher and a central figure on the contemporary music scene in Norway. Waring has composed for soloists, chamber and jazz ensembles, choir, percussion ensemble, and electroacoustic works. He teaches percussion at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.
