(1678 - 1741)
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi was an italian composer and priest, nicknamed Il Prete Rosso (The Red Priest) born and raised in Venice, at that time a Replublic.
He was also a famous virtuoso violinist.
Through his work as maestro di violino and teacher from 1703, Vivaldi wrote much of his music, including operas and concertos.
In 1705 his first works, Opus I was published and more of his works were spread around Europe.
His most famous work, The Four Seasons, was largely unknown in its original form and the resurrection of Vivaldi's unpublished works in the 20th century made Vivaldi a household name for classical music ensembles and music lovers.
We are pleased to publish two arrangements of pieces for mallets.
